The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (the Movement) is made up of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the National Societies, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). 
The Resolution on Movement-wide Vision & Principles for Resource Mobilization created a virtual fundraising hub to help achieve transformational change and fulfil the Movement’s collective fundraising vision. Member of this hub is the
Swiss Red Cross as the most important humanitarian organization in Switzerland and part of the worldwide Red Cross movement.

Project Manager for Digital Fundraising Platform 100%                                 One-year contract with possibility of extension

Job location: Berne city centre

Your duties
  • You lead the implementation of the iRaiser platform; scoping, developing and delivering the overall project plan for the Movement digital fundraising platform and developing the associated budget;
  • Coordinating technical requests of Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies (NS) for the global digital platform, you will be the be the primary contact with the platform supplier for development of Movement specific functionality;
  • You carry out general technical consultation of NS in setting up payment gateways in their country;
  • You are in charge of supporting NS to use the platform effectively, e.g. by developing training tools and resources for them to make the most of the platform, running webinars, testing and other online trainings;
  • Coordinating, collecting and adapting content for the platforms landing pages with NS, as well as filling campaigns with NS content (incl. programming in HTML, CSS, JavaScript if needed) is also part of your responsibilities.

Your profile

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in marketing, technology or related fields;
  • Three or more years’ experience working as a Project Manager or in a related discipline in the digital space;
  • Ability to translate digital strategies into best-in-class and/or innovative digital fundraising products, platforms and services;
  • Previous experience of managing third-party suppliers;
  • Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript;
  • Results-oriented individual, entrepreneurial, ability to lead in unprecedented and/or ambiguous situations;
  • Track record in producing high quality work within short deadlines and ability to make effective, timely decisions;
  • High degree of discretion, tact and sensitivity in dealing with internal and external clients and stakeholders at all levels;
  • Ability to work within a multicultural, multilingual, multidisciplinary environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English (C2);
  • Additional good language skills in Spanish and/or French are a plus.
